Corrections are the most welcome thing in the inbox. If a number here is wrong, a price is stale, or a claim does not hold up, please say so — on a subject where being wrong costs readers money, a correction is worth more to this site than a defence of the original. Errors get fixed in place and material ones are noted on the page.
Before you write
Never send a recovery phrase, private key, passphrase, or a photograph of a backup — to us or to anybody else. Email is not secure, and there is no question about your wallet that requires one. Nobody here will ever ask, under any circumstances, for any reason.
If you receive a message appearing to come from SteelPhrase asking for any of those things, it is not from us. Anyone asking is attempting to rob you, and that remains true no matter how convincing the explanation.
What this address cannot do
Being straightforward about this saves you time when time may matter:
- We cannot recover lost or stolen crypto. Nobody can — not this site, not any company, not any service that contacts you offering to. A confirmed blockchain transaction is final. If funds have already left your wallet, this page explains what is actually worth doing, and it is not paying anyone a fee.
- We cannot recover a lost recovery phrase. If it is genuinely gone with no backup, the funds are unreachable. A phrase you have most of is a different and sometimes solvable problem — but that work happens offline, by you, and never involves sending it to anyone.
- We cannot help with an exchange account. Contact the exchange through its own app or by typing its address yourself — never through a search advertisement, which is a well-worn impersonation route.
- We do not give investment advice. No opinions on what to buy, hold or sell.
What is genuinely useful to send
- A factual correction, ideally with a source.
- A hardware wallet price or model that has changed since an article was dated.
- A scam pattern you have encountered that is not covered here.
- A question a page should have answered and did not.
This is a one-person site, so replies are not instant. Anything reporting an error gets read first.
